This opal rough piece of 92.38ct has a mixture of colours and colour bars. One thing for sure is the potch is quite black so the opal cut from it will be very bright. I suggest this piece will make an excellent carving. Using the potch bars as borders to the different colours. The colours range from a brilliant green to red/orange. Or, this piece will cut quite a few smaller stones that will be of gem quality.

If this piece was just cleaned up and rounded off it would still display plenty of colour to make a funky chunky pendant.
