The Grawin Sports and Recreation Club is a registered sporting club. It is named The-Club-In-The-Scrub. There are no gambling machines in this club. The Club survives with out them and the committee believes opal mining is enough of a gamble without extra gambling options.

The building is constructed of mostly cypress pine logs, and was built by the local miners. It has a pool table, darts, and table tennis with the golf course backing onto it.

The patrons of the club are the older generation of opal miners and the youngest. Most of the older miners are retired from opal mining but still have a glint in their eye when talking about large finds they just missed out on and where there could still be opal.
