This is a double sided 59.72ct Black Opal Carving. The size of this stone is suited for a pendant, or to make a nice addition to a collection.

The brighter side of this exceptionally large stone has a very attractive green/orange pattern that has an electric blue background, which appears to pierce through the overlying green/orange as the stone is rotated.

The other side of this double sided stone has a quite large elongated pattern of electric blue/green that tends to flash back to an electric green when the stone is rotated. The colour and the pattern is evenly placed over both sides of this very large gem. The black potch bar that runs through the centre of the stone makes this opal true Lightning Ridge black opal.
