17.4ct Black Opal CarvingItem No. CV1 This is another beautiful 17.4ct Black Opal Carving from The Airstrip Field, near Grawin. This is actually a chip off a much larger stone. It had a natural crack, which would have separated while being mined or washed. The colour of this stone is predominately electric green/blue. As it is rotated a bright green/orange flash which is very intense in colour, rolls across the face of the opal. It tends to lend itself more to the smaller side of the stone but does not detract from the overall beauty of this opal. This opal carving has quite a unique shape, with edges that come to pointed corners.
