1.40ct Solid Opal

A 1.40ct Solid Opal and is a deep sea green, with a slight hint of blue. This stone is true black opal. It has a very thin band of black potch on the back of the stone making the green colour very deep and intense. It is an exceptionally high domed cabochon. The oval shape and bright colour will make this an attractive ring or pendant stone. This is a cabochon with a rolling flash of deep, dark green. There is a sand spot on the back of the stone but it will not be seen when set. This opal was mined at Grawin Airstrip Rush from a depth of forty eight feet, a previously worked claim that produced some quality black opal.
