Free form 0.91ct solid opal

This 0-91ct solid opal has a large blocky pattern of green-orange in colour. The green is a very bright and electric. This flash fire pattern is extreme, with the colour flash alternating from one end of the stone to the other. The pattern itself is quite large for a small stone like this. There is a small amount of bright orange nestled in amongst the brilliant green/orange.

When the stone is rotated the opposite end shows a similar pattern and brightness as in the photo. The back of the stone is semi-black.

The free form shape of this stone will hang well in a pendant or a nice free form ring setting.

This opal was mined at Mulga Rush from a depth of forty-eight feet.
